PROJECTS

Our Joint National Project (JNP) for the 2012-2013 year with Arnold's Air Society this year is Reach Out Disabled Foundation:

ROD foundation is a non-profit organization registered in Kenya which is committed to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities by providing a continuum of direct service, education and advocacy. Since inception, much has been put to plan to benefit the disabled members of the communities living the urban and rural, Central and Nairobi Provinces.

Today the disabled will be visible members of the community where they work, attend school and live in homes in the neighborhoods.

This year, Silver Wings' Single National Project (SNP) is the promotion of National Defense.

We are very enthusiastic about this year's SNP because there are endless possibilities to support and promote our nation's national defense. To support our National Defense, we are planning many upcoming events, including visiting veterans, sending cards and care packages to soldiers still over-seas, passing out yellow ribbons to signify our appreciation for all that our soldiers, past and present, and their families do for our country; and much, much more!

Local Community Service Projects

Silver Wings is very active around Knoxville when it comes to community service. Besides our JNP and SNP, we participate in Safety City, and Boo! at the Zoo. This upcoming year, we will be participating in our campus' Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, and many, many, more.
